As the main attraction to the Victory Park area in Dallas, Texas, this arena is host to the professional hockey team (Dallas Stars), basketball team (Dallas Mavericks), arena football team (Dallas Desperados), and various concerts and performances. The building was funded partially by Dallas tax-payers with the local sports teams covering the rest of the construction expenses. The debut opening was held in the summer of 2001 (which was noted in the Guinness Record Book as the largest venue opening ceremony of all time. The legendary Eagles band was the very first concert / event held at the new A.A.C. in Dallas.
