Even with the decades of music left in the band commonly abbreviated as 'DMB', they are already listed in the Top 100 record-selling artists in the world. DMB was officially created in 1991 by the Virginia-based group's frontman Dave Matthews. Just one year before the band's creation, Dave was a full-time bartender in Charlottesville before connecting with the other members of DMB. After organizing the band, the first-ever DMB show took place at Virginia's Earth Day Festival. The fan base quickly caught on and DMB gained overnight popularity. While remaining independent for the first few years, they launched their debut album in 1993 - entitled 'Remember Two Things'.
