Inspired by the musical group 'ABBA' (who were most popular in the 1970s), the original songwriters for the 70's band have been a tremendous input to all of the theater show's musical and compositional production aspects. Opening in London's West End in 1999, Mamma Mia has expanded to performing locations all over the world, like Toronto, New York, Madrid, Oslo, and Barcelona.
