Created by the legendary personality and hard-rocker, Ozzy Osbourne, the nationwide popular rock-festival tour began in the summer of 1996. Originating as a small, local one-time event, it now tours the nation featuring some of the biggest bands from a wide range of musical niches. While devoted to the rock genre, touring groups have included thrash rock, metal, alternative rock, and punk bands. Notable performances by accompanying bands include 'Disturbed', 'System of a Down', 'Linkin Park', 'Tool', 'Incubus', 'Foo Fighters', and many dozens of other huge acts. In recent years, while Ozzy continues to perform, the spotlight has shifted to highlight the other bands.
