This location is commonly referred to as 'The Can' (hence, the soft drink). It currently hosts the four professional sports teams: Colorado Crush, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Avalanche, and the Denver Nuggets. Along with mainstream concerts and events held at the venue, the 2008 Democratic Convention was held at the arena. The four and a half acre landmark was opened by a concert with Celine Dion. Maximum seating capacity is listed at under 20,000. This massive building includes restaurants and a practice court (separate from the main event area) for the Denver basketball team. Both public and private events are held at 'The Can'.
