Since his professional music career debut in 1993, this Southern-born country music star has mastered the art of lyrical songwriting of the country genre. Before his music career began, Toby worked as a manager at an Oaklahoma oil field plant. He started to dip his toes in the honky-tonk genre and playing small local gigs around the state. On a whim, a local fan made contact with an executive from a huge record label - and it was Mercury Records (and his loyal fan) that brought his music to the national level.
